Odyssey is a music album by Theodora, an artist/ producer based in Paris. For this project, Contextual Mumbling joined forces with the creative studio Pamp3000, based in Copenhagen, and Co-directed the visual identity of the album’s EP covers and music videos.
The project’s concept Odyssey derives from the journey and transformation of the artist throughout the album. The transformation of the hero, on a physical and emotional level, the mythology, in connection to the contemporary, the odyssey of the soul, a conversation with the spiritual. These themes are the ones that have guided our artistic narrative and approach to the EP.
For the realization of this project, we are using a variety of technologically advanced mediums, such as volumetric recording and procedural geometrical processing to be used both for documentation and postproduction and manifest the conceptual idea of the project.
Specifically about JOURS HEUREUX music video, the main’s character fragmented memories are represented through a distorted temporal 3D scan, resembling the search of one’s lost soul. We aimed to create a hybrid video which translates the intangible as the virtual.
